ABOUT THE TOURS

While Franklin's makes excellent BBQ, it's part of a long tradition of excellent BBQ in Austin. This is an opportunity to explore some other styles and techniques. Also, nobody skips the line at Franklin's except President Obama and he paid for everyone behind him's food and we just aren't that big yet.

The tour starts at 12 noon so that we can skip the lunch rush and get customized service.

We expect each tour to take 3-3.5 hours

We design each tour based on a variety of conditions (weather, what restaurants are open on which days, etc), but we expect to make at least 3-4 stops each tour.

Custom pick-up and drop-off is available for a fee. Please contact us in advance and we can work something out.

We will provide all of the tasting food and bottled water. You can always purchase additional food at the restaurants and also beer or other beverages they may have. If you have a special need in this area, please contact us ahead of time and we will make our best effort to accommodate.

Since our tours are small, they can fill up fast. We also only do one tour per day, whether group or private, so if your window is narrow, book as soon as you can.

Our friends in the insurance industry don't allow us to provide you alcohol or allow an open container in the car. Most of the restaurants we will visit offer at least a beer selection that you can take advantage of separately.

On rainy days (and exceedingly hot days) we will route the tour to only include restaurants that offer indoor seating. Again, if you have a special need in this area, please let us know when you book so we can plan accordingly.

We know from our own travel experience, what to do with luggage can be tricky. Please contact us in advance and we will make every effort to accommodate you, but we also have limited space in the vehicle and we want all of our guests to be as comfortable as possible.

We are a family business and welcome all families aboard.

We do not provide infant car seats, but do have a booster sear for older kids. Please contact us in advance or let us know at booking, though, so we can make sure it meets your standards and that we bring it the day of the tour.

We offer a 100% refund if you cancel at least 7 days in advance or more and a 50% refund for tours that are cancelled between 3 and 6 days of your scheduled tour. All tours cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled departure are non-refundable. We also offer rescheduling options for a future date tour without penalty. Contact us if you have any questions.

Yes, all payments are secure. We use PayPal or a third party processor so we never see your credit card number and they do not store them.

Tips are gladly accepted. Suggested gratuity is 15-20%.
